Each season, after the NHL Draft, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation holds a Development Camp for prospects of the organization. The entire week is about preparing the prospects to eventually contribute for the Penguins and showing them what it means to be a part of this organization, our community and to be a professional athlete. As part of the indoctrination process, the prospects are tasked to be involved in a local community project.
For this year, the selected project is a youth dek hockey clinic, as part of the Project Power Play. The Richland Park dek hockey rink has been one of the three selected to participate. The clinic will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Spectators are invited to come and watch as approximately 12 Penguins prospects participate in a dek hockey clinic with some of the local youth dek hockey participants. Come and watch the fun – you might see some stars of the future!
