Richland Township will be hosting BOTH a Hard-to-Recycle event AS WELL AS a Community Document Shredding event, both on Saturday, November 2, 2019. The Hard to Recycle items will be collected at the Public Works building, and the documents for shredding will be in the Municipal Building front parking lot. You do not need to be a Richland Township resident to participate.

Household Hazardous Waste will be collected at the Richland Township Public Works building by Environmental Coordination Services & Recycling, Inc. (ECS&R). This event is open to residents and non-residents of Richland Township.
ECS&R accepts: Cash, Credit Cards or Checks.
ECS&R will be on site to collect computers, printers, TVs, household cleaning products, paints, gasoline, stains, finishes, light bulbs, and more. For a complete list of items to be collected, please visit www.ecsr.net.
During the event, residents are required to stay in their vehicle. Residents MAY NOT help off-load. ECS&R will do that for you.
ECS&R DOES NOT ACCEPT: Tires, mercury containing devices, explosives, fire extinguishers, radioactive material, elemental mercury, ammunition, medical waste, syringes, smoke detectors, large appliances and compressed gas.

Community Document Shredding Details:

Location: Richland Township Municipal Building – front parking lot
Out of Sight Shredding will shred all your unwanted documents for a small fee. This company holds NAID AAA Certification. Items will be collected and placed in a secure locked bin, and then transported back to the facility where they will be destroyed. Off site destruction of the documents allows Out of Sight Shredding to provide you with a lower fee and provides unique employment and job training opportunities to the blind and visually impaired, who are employed at the facility, as well as individuals with other physical or mental disabilities.
