In accordance with the directives of the state of Pennsylvania and the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, the Northern Tier Library developed a plan that will allow us to provide library service, while keeping our staff and patrons as safe as possible.
Temporary library hours will be Monday-Saturday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM
Monday, June 8 – The Northern Tier Library will open our book drops and begin quarantining the returns. The library will start to offer contactless lobby pickup for books and other library materials. Items can be requested by phone (724-449-2665) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) but not through the catalog.
Monday, June 15 – The Summer Learning Program will begin. Check out our schedule of virtual programs and take home projects at http://northerntierlibrary.org/
It is important to note that the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and the shipping and delivery service will not be running at this time. We will be able fill holds only if the item is owned by the Northern Tier Library and is currently not checked out.
As always, we are available for phone reference service. The library will continue to offer “live” storytimes, songs, and rhymes at https://www.facebook.com/northerntierlibrary/
More services will be added as we receive additional guidance from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries. Until then, see you in the lobby!
