  • Vogel Leaf Pickup (for Th-F customers)

    This is a Vogel leaf pickup day for customers with waste collection days on Thursdays or Fridays.

     

    Richland Township 2022 Fall leaf pickup dates are below. Please note that your leaf pickup days will vary according to your waste collection day.

     

    This service is provided to reduce the impact of leaves on the municipal stormwater system, streams and wetlands.

     

    If your Vogel waste collection day is Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday,

    your leaf collection days are:

    Weds, Oct. 19

    Weds, Nov. 9

    Weds, Nov. 30

    Please remember:

    • All bags must be out PRIOR to 6:00am on the day of pickup.
    • All leaves, garden residue, and cuttings MUST be in biodegradable PAPER bags. (NO PLASTIC)
    • Bags MUST NOT exceed 40lbs.
    • Tree trimmings (no larger than 3 inches in diameter and smaller than 48 inches in length) must be tied/bound into manageable bundles.

    Santa will be landing his sleigh Sunday, Dec. 4th, 2022 at the Richland Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept.!

    Join us for a hot breakfast buffet (by John Marshall Catering), photo with Santa, crafts, and making a bag of reindeer food for Santa’s reindeer!

    Santa’s menu will include:  French toast w/ syrup, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, danish, orange juice, milk, coffee, tea and water.

    Location:  Richland VFD, 5857 Meridian Rd., Gibsonia, PA  15044

    Date:  Sunday, December 4, 2022

    Cost:  $20/person, ages 2 and under are free

    Two (2) Seating choices:  9:30am or 11:00am

    REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED – please indicate preferred seating time.

  • Vogel HHW & Ewaste Pickup

    At no additional charge, there will be four dates a year when you can schedule a pick-up of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and E-Waste from your home.

     

    HHW and E-WASTE collection dates for 2022 are:

    March 7  (Register by Feb 21)

    June 13  (Register by May 27)

    September 19 (Register by Sept. 2)

    December 5 (Register by Nov. 21)

    Residents must contact Vogel customer service dept.  at 724-625-1511 AT LEAST 10 DAYS PRIOR TO THE PICKUP DATE to participate. A containment package with instructions will be sent to your home prior to your scheduled pick up date.

     

    Please note that due to the regulations Vogel is required to follow, detailed information will be needed at the time of scheduling. Some of the information required for scheduling is listed below. Additional Vogel information related to pickup scheduling may be found at https://www.vogeldisposal.com/schedule-pickup.

     

    ELECTRONIC WASTE: E-waste items including but not limited to: TV’s and computers including desktop, laptop, tablet, E-readers and peripherals including monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer etc. Any device capable of receiving and displaying television or video programming. No more than three (3) TVs/monitors will be collected from any residence in a calendar year.

     

    Details required when registering E-Waste items for pickup:

    * Brand name
    * Screen size (ex. TV, computer monitor, etc.)
    * Screen style (ex. flat screen)
    * Approximate weight

     

    HHW (Household Hazardous Waste): HHW is leftover household products that contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable, or reactive ingredients that require careful disposal.

     

    Details required when registering HHW items for pickup may include (but not limited to):

    * Brand name
    * Container size
    * Quantity of products and amounts remaining in containers

     

    Each package may not exceed 50 lbs. of acceptable HHW materials. You may place larger items such as long fluorescent lamps, auto batteries and electronics beside the containment bag.

     

    Completed containment packages and Ewaste must be collected from the resident’s property 10 to 15 feet from the curb along a driveway or street facing area and may not be collected from the curb or public property. Items must be placed outside the residence NO MORE than 24 hours prior to your scheduled collection date.

    PUBLIC MEETING PROCEDURES DUE TO COVID-19

     

    The Richland Township Planning Commission will conduct a virtual public meeting on every third Monday of the month at 7:00pm.

     

    Members of the public will be able to participate in the meeting remotely by using Zoom Meeting software with meeting ID 698 843 9199 and if prompted password 100843.

     

    Members of the public are welcome to submit questions about items on or off the agenda until 4:30 pm on the day of the meeting to Richland Township at [email protected].  All questions and comments received will be entered into the record of the meeting.  Within 48 hours of the meeting, a record of the meeting will be posted on the Township website for a period of 30 days.  A copy of the preliminary agenda will be posted at the municipal building and available at the township website: www.richland.pa.us.

    RICHLAND TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

    Board of Supervisors meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm (Summer months only have meetings on the 3rd Wednesday).

     

    Members of the public are able to attend the meeting in-person, or remotely by using a software known as Zoom meeting. To participate, call 301-715-8592 US and enter the Meeting ID: 698 843 9199 and if prompted passcode 100843. Members of the public are welcome to submit questions about items on or off of the agenda until 4:30 p.m. on the day of the meeting to Richland Township at [email protected]. All questions and comments received will be entered into the record of the meeting. Within forty-eight hours a record of the meeting will be posted on the Township website for a period of thirty days.
