The weather is getting colder and park activities change quite a bit for the off-season, but there is exciting news and construction happening at Richland Community Park!

Thanks to a grant we received from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in 2017, our renovations are in their final phase! The new restrooms at the dek hockey arena and soccer fields have been installed and will be ready to use in the spring of 2020.

Richland Township also received a grant from the Allegheny County Community Infrastructure and Tourism Fund this fall, which has allowed us to make major renovations to the restrooms by the new playground and splash pad. Weather permitting, these facilities will be available to the public by mid-December and will remain open all year long.

The new structure at the dek hockey arena will house four separate family restrooms, which will be open for use next season. We’re excited for a spring with so many brand-new facilities open for use! Look for upcoming announcements for the opening of these great new features at Richland Community Park.
