We are sad to announce the passing of Bart Miller, Richland Township Supervisor.  Bart’s fellow Supervisors and the Township staff are heartbroken over the loss of their friend and colleague.  He will be greatly missed.  We send condolences to his wife Ann and his children Luke and Christin.  We hope they take a small degree of comfort in knowing how much Bart was loved and respected by those who worked with him.

Bart battled courageously and was sustained by a strong desire to be a positive influence in his chosen community of Richland Township.  He accomplished much as an elected official, including service on the Northern Regional Police Department Pension Advisory Board.  His proudest accomplishment was the building of the dek-hockey rink at Richland Park.  The rink was Bart’s idea and he was instrumental in securing a commitment from the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation to build a rink in Richland Township.  His efforts will contribute to the enjoyment of children and their families for years to come.  Well done Mr. Miller!  Our community is a better place to live because of you.
