The Pennsylvania DOT, in cooperation with Derry Construction Co, Inc., continues its work in Richland & Hampton Townships on a major road improvement project on Route 8 (William Flinn Hwy) in Allegheny County.  The project was originally anticipated to begin in March and continue through December, 2020, but was pushed back due to work restrictions.

Scope of Work:

Improve a section of S.R. 8 section A73 (William Flinn Hwy) in Allegheny County, including Hampton & Richland Townships, starting south of Wildwood Rd. and ending just north of the intersection of Northtowne Square (near Wendy’s).  The work consists of bituminous milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement patching, drainage, guide rails, curbs, sidewalks, signage, pavement markings, bridge preservation, and other misc. construction.

Traffic Restrictions:

Daily closures, Monday through Friday, will be implemented to perform this work.

Daylight hours from 9am – 2pm

Evening hours from 6pm – 6am
