Richland Township proudly recognizes National Police Week, observed from May 11-17, 2025, as a time to honor the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers across the country - especially the dedicated men and women of the Northern Regional Police Department who serve our community.
National Police Week also includes Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15th, a solemn occasion to remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Their commitment and courage leave a lasting impact on the communities they swore to protect.
Each year, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund hosts a Candlelight Vigil in Washington, D.C., where the names of fallen officers are inscribed and remembered for their service and sacrifice.
On April 16, 2025, the Richland Township Board of Supervisors adopted a formal resolution in recognition of Police Week, expressing appreciation to the Northern Regional Police Department and all officers who serve with integrity, professionalism, and dedication.
We encourage residents to take a moment this week to thank a police officer and reflect on the vital role they play in keeping Richland Township safe.
